Last Day of VayCay

Yes, it is my last day of vacation, I am so bummed. Well..the house mortgage mess is a big part of that. Just when I thought we had it all figured out, Countrywide throws another monkey wrench into it.

On a good note, I spent most of the time off playing with our new PUPPIES! Yes, Daisy had them the 1st day of vacation. She had 7. There are 4 girls and 3 boys. Very tramatic for the both of us. Daisy and I that is!

I also messed around with my IPod, put together a hard puzzle and on Monday the 26th we piled all 11 dogs (4 adults and 7 puppies) into the Tahoe and made a road trip to Forks,WA to go see the Twilight stuff".

We have been to Forks many times before all the hoopla about Twilight started but we haven't been back since the books have come out. Everywhere we went there was "Twilight" stuff to see.

Tommorow I return to work, I am so sad. It would be great if I was able to stay home all the time. Sigh

Whoo Hoo!

Well, I am officially on vacation! Whoo Hoo! Mom used to call my Saturday (which is Tuesday in my work week) Whoo Hoo Day! This is because as soon as I got home from work on Tuesday afternoon I would walk into the house and holler Whoo Hoo! She used to look forward to Whoo Hoo day because it meant that she and I would get to run around for two days doing fun stuff. Man, I miss her so much. Two days ago I was coming home from work and came down the road that goes around Island Lake and Mt. Rainer was out. We say "the mountain is out" when it is clear enough to see it. One of the messages she had saved on her cell phone was a short one from me saying "Hey Mom! Just called to tell you the mountain is out!" So, as I'm driving around the corner and up pops the mountain viewing area, I said out loud almost without thinking, "hey mom, the mountain's out" Love you Mom!

Daisy's Expecting

Well, it has been comfirmed. Daisy and Magnum are expecting. We will be grandparents sometime in the next 2 or 3 weeks. Oh boy! No, this was not planned and yes I am going to want to keep every one of the little squiggling darlings! But...I can't. We really can't afford 4 dogs as it is, not to mention 6 or 8 or 10 more!

I've been spending lots of time on the computer working on loading the IPod Nano that Rick got me for Christmas. Also, working on some of the 23 puzzles that I got. Ok, Mrs. Claus brought me 2 packs of 10 each.

Today Rick and I have an appointment with a HUD advisor to sign papers permitting her to negotiate with Countrywide for a new mortgage payment. Yes, we are in one of those terrible A.R.M. loans that re-adjusted. It's been incredibly stressful to say the least. It will be a relief to have it be done. One way or the other.

I am looking forward to vacation next week. I am way behind on my house cleaning and my scrapbooking. We might take a little trip to Forks, WA and do the Twilight Tour. We just finished the book series and since we have spent some time in Forks prior to that it should be fun to go up there again. We even took our Christmas picture a few years ago on the LaPush Reservation! This was before we had even heard of Twilight! Go Edward and Bella!

Can't Wait

Rick's other really nice gift from me was XBox 360 Call of Duty-World at War game. Unfortunately the week before Christmas his XBox got the dreaded ...."RED RING OF DEATH"!!!! So, he'll have to wait a while before he gets obsessed with playing his new game. Ummm, good time to get the "honey do " list out of the way! Tee Hee!

Christmas Day

My honey worked hard to get my computer back up and running. (So he can have his back all to himself!) He got me a wireless keyboard and mouse so of course I had to practice "playing" with my new stuff. Looks like I am trying to play air guitar. The dogs were very good to their mama and I received the Adobe Elements 7 set. I was very surprised and got a little emotional about it. Their papa went and picked up the purchase for them and even wrapped it. Nice Papa!

Catching Up

Haven't taken the time to post lately. Trying to get through the holidays and there doesn't seem to be much energy or time left over to work on this. We had a great Christmas considering what a crappy year it has been. We didn't put a Christmas tree up or do a whole lot of decorating. I bought Rick's big gift early. We have had lots of cold nights so he has been trying to keep a fire going most of the time. (At least until the glass broke in one of the fireplace doors.) Considering how many trips it takes to bring in wood and how hard it is for him with his back and neck problems I felt like this was a great "little" item he should have. I got this cool wagon at Lowe's the week before Christmas. We even used it to put our gifts in since we didn't have a tree to put them under.
I really did want the frying pan! I was just messing around and pretending I was going to swat Rick with it!
